Launch Preparation
Before your site launches, you’ll have a Quality Assurance period to examine your site and flag any issues. Your project coordinator will share a spreadsheet with you and your team to ensure all pages have been QA’ed by staff and are approved for launch.
The Rayos Team will ask you to examine items including:
- Is any content missing?
- Are any important pages missing (including seasonal pages that may not be promoted on your live site right now)?
- Is any content in the wrong place?
- Are bylines matched up with the correct content?
You will also be able to report bugs or styling issues you may find on the site.
FAQ
What is a showstopper?
A showstopper is any bug or issue on the site that absolutely needs to be resolved before the site can launch.
Who should QA?
Editorial staff familiar with the content and layout of the site. Sales/Ad Trafficking staff who are able to verify ads are trafficked properly.
How does the gap import process work?
One week before the launch of your site, the Rayos Team will complete a gap import, which will include all of the content that has been created between the initial import and the time the gap import is run. Once complete, any new content that is created between the gap import and launch will need to be created in both your old CMS and the Rayos CMS.
How does the post launch review process work?
For five business days following the launch, you will continue to work with your Project Manager to resolve any lingering issues found on your site. After those five days, if there are any issues the Project Manager wasn’t able to resolve, they will transition those issues on your behalf to the Rayos Support team. Any new issues or bugs will need to be reported to the Support Team by contacting help@gtxcel.com.
